Search Engine Marketing (SEM)

In general, search engine marketing is the marketing through search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing. Search engine marketing is classified into two types, one is search engine optimization (SEO) and another one is pay per click (PPC).

Search engine optimization is a process through which we can increase the traffics or visitors of a website in unpaid ways. It is a long term basis and the benefits by search engine optimization are high return on investment, long term positioning, promotion doesn't skip, higher sales, faster loading pages and cross browser compatibility.

In pay per click, there is an agreement between the website owner and the search engine company to put the link in the search result page for a particular keyword with limited period of time.
